Pincushions

The darling Melissa sent over some images of pincushions that she made with some FF products.

 On this one she used pink glitter tape and pink scallop lace tape

On this one she layered some solid red lace tape over other trims.

This one is by far my favorite. She ran the silver glitter tape through a dicut machine

and made a string of hearts. sigh.

sneaks

some sneaks at some styles coming for the July 27 shop update

for the many who emailed (thank you for caring and checking in)

my father is stable.

they removed the tumor (17x15 inches) without any complications

he's on the road to recovery and we are all hoping that it is not cancerous.

i thank you for your thoughts and heart prayers.

and i thank you for your patience.

we've all been out of the office this week

and things have been a little slow

so thank you for understanding and letting us be with him.

Easy Cards

good morning lovelies!

have you seen Shanna's sneaks for her use of the July ohDEERme kit?

the headband?! hello, make me one!!

i'm here to share 3 quick cards i made using FF products.

i was asked to make a bunch of cards

and i mixed and matched supplies until tada!

3 easy peasy cards.

 for this one I used 

granny chic floral washi tape

white lace tape

and some paper bows from Curtsey Boutique

(i am obsessed, obsessed with those bows)

this one i used

black/white chevron washi tape

scalloped white lace tape 

and this one i used

gold washi tape

two-toned yellow lace tape

and some bits and bobs from the June ohDEERme kit

(you can get more of the paper rosettes here).

i love using washi tape on cards

its sooo easy and you can coordinate a lot of your tapes together

for a fun combination.

P.S. For those who have emailed. The fire is under control. It rained yesterday (!!!!) and volunteers, army national guard, and local firefighters have been working tirelessly to protect the residents at risk. Thank you for your comments, emails, and prayers. I know everyone around here appreciates them.

recent layouts

i mentioned on facebook that i did a couple layouts in less than 30 minutes.

i was on a rolll!

for the bulk of my layouts i use Studio Calico kits.

i love how everything is already coordinated and put together for me.

with the kits as my foundation i start adding in stuff from my stash.

 with this layout i used:

 this was my first layout using triangles and i loved it.

i will definitely be using more triangles on my layouts.

Every Day by Doe

i love this layout

the colors make me happy

and with two little boys

its not very often that i do a page ALL girly and such

and since doilies and lace are some of my favorite things to use

scrapping Little Lady is always a joy for me :)

i used the pink airmail (such a delight)

french 4 inch doilies

i also used the two-toned lace tape in yellow.

lace tapes are so lovely to use

you just peel off the back and bam, beautiful lace on a layout

no fuss with gluesticks, glue dots, etc.

and on the left there

i used some red/white striped fabric tape that we'll be stocking late this month.

i just love it.

how is everyone's weekend going?

Deer and I have been lazing about with the babies

building with blocks and having little dinosaur fights 

(Little Lady is currently obsessed with all things dinosaurs

and her two dinosaur stuffed animals have been quite ferocious as of late)
