Color Crush Wednesday By SANDRA

Hello, Sandra here with some fresh inspiration for you on Color Crush Wednesday. With Summer being in full swing in Germany, I'm taking joy in nice and friendly colors. I like to surround myself with things that come in different shades of blue and pink with a touch of gold and silver. And the addition of white just makes the perfect combination that reminds me of the ease of a warm and bright summer's day, delicious ice-cream and a fun day at the beach.

Desktop Monday By KRISTINA

On my desk right now: My latest Project Life pages, lots of sweet mementos that I need to be sure I get into my album, a super cute mini notebook from a friend and of course some Freckled Fawn. This wooden “love, love, love” embellishment from the July kit is one of my most favorite. :)

Tutorial Friday By ADRIENNE

Hello FF fans!  I'm here today to share a layout with you that I created using the July "Silver Lining" Cut Files.  All you need is some card stock, patterned paper, ink, and your favorite FF embellishments and some washi tape!

To create this layout, I first used my Silhouette Cameo to make the cuts I wanted to use.

Next, I layered the "hello" sentiment on top of one of the cloud cuts and stitched it together using my sewing machine.

To add a little bit of color and contrast, I inked the edges of the clouds using some bright yellow pigment ink.

After I let the ink dry for a bit, I began adhering the cuts to my layout and then used several FF embellishments around each cloud cluster. (Glitter Resin Clouds)

I printed my journaling on some vellum, cut it out like the shape of the cloud I backed it with, and then inked it's edges as well.

I also added a strip of washi tape at the bottom of my page. Since the rainbow striped tape blended together too much with the aqua card stock, I placed it on a piece of white card stock and then cut it out and stitched it to my layout so the colors would show up better.

As you can see I used lots of cut files to create this page.  By mixing the colors of card stock and patterned paper you can get so much more out of just a few cuts.  I hope I inspired you a bit on how to use the July cut files!  Thanks for dropping by today!

ThrowBack Thursday - July Edition

Hey everyone! Florence here. Being in the middle of a move makes you realize how much stuff you have, and how much stuff you didn't know you had. I came across this photo of my family that came to visit us a couple years ago.

My Auntie Teri had found one of them on Facebook in 2011/2012 and they decided to finally book a trip out California. Alaska isn't just a drive away so it was a bit difficult for the Californians to travel since there's way more of us. But we had a blast getting to know family that were never present in our lives until that point.

My Grandma (pictured in the middle) was the care taker for 6/8 shown in the photo. Reunited and it feels so good was an understatement. I can't wait to make an album for her of this trip. The value of memory keeping, regardless if it's from yesterday, or 10 years ago - memories will always be preserved

Dust off your photos or any old projects you've been meaning to finish. One page completed is better than no page completed. Until next time!

- Florence
