washi workshop with Kristin

Office Supplies are everywhere right now and today I'd like to share with you two different ways to incorporate washi into the office supply trend.

First up is using washi to decorate office supplies you have around the house.

One of my favorite things about washi tape is that you can use it to quickly decorate so many things. In my other life, I'm a full time student in the middle of writing a 100 page thesis, and I'm constantly using washi to spice up my notes and add a bit of color to my textbooks. Washi makes a great bookmark and the translucent aspect makes it great for highlighting as well.

Here I used washi tape to decorate several binder clips, a post-it note holder, and an Amy Tangerine Sketchbook. All quick and easy projects you can do in just a couple of minutes.

To make the post-it note holder: Cut a sheet of cardstock the same width as your post-it note. Place your post it notes in the middle of the cardstock strip and fold the cardstock around the top and bottom; glue the post-it notes to the bottom of the folded cardstock. Decorate the front with stamps and washi.

I also created a layout and incorporated some of the great office supply themed scrapbook products that are available. The sheet of ledger cardstock is a great background and gives space for easy journaling. I used each of the three new Freckled Fawn washi tapes on this layout and I love them all!

Thanks for joining me today for my washi workshop! - Kristin
