Goal: Circles

My goal yesterday was to scrap something with circles.

Circles scare me.

So instead of using my circle punch

I used buttons and doilies--they count, right?

They are rather circular...

I loved using the FF exclusive Handmade Modern Stitched tag.

have you scrapped anything with circles lately?

Die Cut Tags

Melissa created the most stunning tags

using our large kraft tags, doilies

and a delightful collection of washi and fabric tapes.

Shanna sent over another layout

using some ohDEERme goodies

she flipped the rainbow journal cards over

so they would be white but you could still see the heart

and attached some cork tags here and there

love it. love it. love it.

i definitely want to scraplift this layout

because i love the grid sketch so much.

hope everyone is having a delightful day so far.

i'm just getting a few new things listed in the shop today.

more ohDEERme layouts

Naomi sent over three layouts this morning

using the June ohDEERme kit.

there are no words to describe the loveliness.

love the little cork tag at the top

and she made a sweet banner using the Bingo card and the 2 stitched tags

throw in some flair

and you can grab some doilies here

here's her second layout

once again, those cork tags, so cute!

loved how she used all the journal tags and lace edged tags for layering.

here's a closeup of the paper rosettes, just love these (grab some a la carte here)

and the paper bows, too sweet (a la carte here)

and i am lOVING the yellow washi tape in the kit.

Shanna whom I adore

just sent me this layout that she created with the ohDEERme kit.

Shanna said:

I had so much fun working with the VERY FIRST OhDEERme kit! I just fell head over heels in love with those people tags, and did you see how cute those cork tags are? LOVE! When I saw the people tags, the first thing I thought of was my husband. Since he's currently on the other side of the world, these tags would be the perfect way to capture some moments between us without actual pictures of the two of us together. Throw in some washi, flair and a hidden journaling card and my layout was coming together! As a finishing touch I tucked in the bingo card, just peeking out from behind the layout. 

She also said:

I made a hidden journaling card to document some personal things between us. I took the primary colored journaling cards and turned them over since the colors didn't match my layout, even the BACK side of these are CUTE! I then layered it with the kraft tag to add some interest. 

I need to get crafting with my own kit

this layout has just got my creativity all a buzz!

i couldn't get rid of that glare.

this layout is ever dear (or deer, i should say) to my heart

it captures such a tender subject.

Little Lady became a big sister Aug 2 2010.

then, a year later on Aug 26, she became a big sister again!

just looking at her sweet face and how much she grew in that 1 year

and thinking about all the things she has done to help with the boys

how she teaches them, feeds them, reads books to them, plays with them

Did she Know how amazing she would be?

how simply perfect she could be?

from the shop i used 

yellow adhesive labels (love, love, love these)

brown grid washi tape

manila washi tape

this was the first time i used the brown grid washi
and holy cow, i realllly like it!

for journaling, i snuck a library card pocket behind the top picture

i wrote my thoughts on large kraft tags

and i will slip them in there.

i adore library card pockets

should i stock them in the shop?? :)

Their Story

i got some scrapping done this weekend

(weeeee!)

its a pretty rare occurrence for me to actually sit down

and make a couple layouts

what with the littles running around.

Little Lady looooves using my stickers

and Little Man tries to put everything in his mouth.

so scrapping does not usually happen until after they are all in bed.

i used a lot from Studio Calico's Apri Kit

and a lot of FF supplies

we just added the descending stripe washi tape to the shop

and using it here on this layout was sooo ... what's the word ... perfect!

i love it.

so much.

it may in fact be my most favorite washi tape ever.

yellow washi tape is rare and i just love stripes. 

i also used the basic stripe grey tape

and the 4 inch french doilies.

 for a little extra journaling

i wrote on some of the decorative tags

another personal favorite.

i love those wood frames.

i need to get more :)

the sunshine is calling me away.

off to play in the backyard with the littles.
